ARC Power proudly announces the signing of a significant new grant funding agreement with BRILHO, a UK Aid-funded programme focused on energy access in Mozambique. This new agreement is set to substantially scale the rollout of solar-powered mini-grids across Gaza Province, enhancing clean energy access and transforming communities.
This milestone agreement follows ARC Power’s successful commissioning in 2023 of Mozambique’s first and only privately operated mini-grid concession approved by Mozambique’s energy regulator, ARENE. The innovative mini-grid model piloted by ARC Power in Gaza Province has already demonstrated impactful results, providing reliable and affordable electricity to communities previously without access.
Expanding Sustainable Energy Access
Through BRILHO’s grant funding, ARC Power will rapidly accelerate the development of new mini-grid sites across the Gaza Province, significantly increasing the number of Mozambicans with access to sustainable energy. The grant will directly support the deployment of ARC’s innovative solar mini-grid systems, ensuring reliable energy for homes, businesses, schools, and health clinics, substantially improving living standards and economic opportunities for rural communities.
